On Saturday, July 16, 2022, BAMM teamed up with SFCI for their Neighborhood Impact Day. SFCI has a medical and dental clinic space at the back of their rescue mission dining hall at 140 Turk Street. The team was comprised of several veteran BAMMers as well as many new faces!
We were able to utilize the clinic as well as dining hall space to provide intake tables, educational stations to provide information and coaching around healthy eating and diabetes management, vision screening as well as a dedicated area for counseling, listening and prayer. There were medical stations where some basic medical issues could be addressed. We were only operational for a few hours but nearly twenty Tenderloin residents were able to be cared for.
Through the time, every person we saw was prayed for, listened to, and (we pray) felt God’s love for them through His people. It was inspiring and informed the vision for the next BAMM teams to serve the TL. We very much look forward to more times of service in the Tenderloin alongside the faithful ministry of San Francisco City Impact and its staff!
